I know only a few people who read our blog will appreciate this.
I have been working with my pup for a while now, well a little every day. We have been working come, kennel and other commands like "whoa" or for my pup Lars "Stay". He has been doing really good. I went to the store to get a quail wing to get him in a good place before we work some live birds next week at Wasach Wing and Clay. Luckly, for me the wind was working in my favor and I could use my own lawn. The lawn was still moist and I took the wing through the grass and then hid the wind under some fenceline and grass. The wind was coming at us and from about 30ft away he was sniffing like a crazy german and he caught scent of the wing through the grass and within about 6 ft of where the wing was hidden he stopped and froze. He didn't know what to do, he just stood still with the wind and scent in his face. I took him off the scent then gave him some love. I got the camera and this is what he produced a good solid point just on scent!!!

Dude that's sick! keep it up and maybe he'll get the pleasure of watching us miss birds too. That's great cause down the road that instinct will make it alot easier for you to have a good huntin dog! Oh yeah I must be one of the one's who would read this and appreciate it.

haha. Is that a Fried Chicken Wing your using? In case a break in and you blast on a brotha, ur dog can find the body??? I love it, so when is our big hunting trip? Plan it now!
