walk it out

Wednesday, May 6, 2009

Well here is another post, but this time the set up was better than the first time. I think it will flow a little better. Thanks. Julie told me to always eat breakfast but here milk cost more than a liter of gas. I bought a half liter of milk for 3 American dollars. So now Julie tell me "should i really eat breakfast" hahah. Not if it cost that much....

This is what they call shwaa bing. Which is to not be confused with chwaa bing which means absolutely nothing and they will stare at you and think your an idiot. Yep, i'm an idiot.

when you order it, you get to put Leo (6) different types of ummmm, stuff in it and eat away. As far as shaved ice goes how can you mess that up right. Well leave it to the Taiwanese to do it. It taste like molasses

This guy who looks like a very stereotypical Asian was probably the greatest baseball fan ever, he had tons of stuff up in his restaurant for people to see. He pointed us in the right direction.

So here we are at the baseball game. This guy is the person who pumps up the crowd to get them involved. They are probably the most spirited people when it comes to sports.

the park

American pitcher oh yeah boy. Get out of here, and bye the way he sucked. hahah. Can i get a little dice kay please.

And the winner is not the black hello kitty

I'm pretty sure they are the rain dancers. Taiwan is in a drought. lol

This is the rat that won the mascot race. But i think it's suppose to be a lion. Wow, how fierce, a girl lion, it must be that time of the month for her.

These are my new girlfriends...lol sorry jules

Ok THESE are my new girlfriends, hahahh JK. I saw the walking outside the stadium and just asked them to take a picture and as you can see i am a winner!

They grow so fast!

This is a cool little restaurant. Like fondu in really dirty water.

Dinner: Top ramien, eggs, veggies, 30 tian about one dollar. Most restaurants look just like this. They don't really have ones like us. If they do they are supppper fancy which means way too expensive for me.

GOT CHURCH! It was pretty cool to meet the members there. They are so humble and they said that us coming has increased their faith. ahh so cool.

Yoga. argh!

Dinner from the back of a truck. My Favorite. They have this stuff called Ju Row (pork) on a stick umm mmm soo good.

Me getting really fat!

Gifts and breakfast from out community nurses. I don't even know what everything is so i won't explain.

Our nurses

one of our patients. Ah Gong, which means grandpa. he was very nice and really appreciated our help that day. They owned a super market. They are really rich.

My next patient was a bee keeper and this was her back hard. She said some how the bees just keep coming back. Brooke no they don't have a problem with missing bees. I think all the ones in the USA came here on strike.

This is me and Rae Jean out side a Buddhist temple retirement center. Umm, it was pretty gross inside so they wouldn't let me take pictures.
So far things are going well. Right now we just do a lot of observing but next week we will be doing more hands on stuff. We will be going to the orphanage on Thurs. I can't wait to see those little Asian babies. Asians are soo cute when they are tiny. What happens when they get older...JK. I'll keep you posted. Come back soon to see more cool pictures.
