Diving competition: First up, Brooke

Now this is a new diver, so we will have to take into account style on some of the "dives"...
Brooke's first couple "dives" are just baby steps, so Julie went with her.

Congratulations, you just walked (literally) off the waterfall all by yourself! Difficulty 2.1, Execution, 10 (because it is freakin hilarious!!)

And now for the real diving. Calvin taught Brooke to dive on this day. She had never dove before.

Diving competition: Next up, Robe

Starting with the Back flip:
Arms are a little unorthodox, but at least you are continuing to flip ...
And finally, "No, don't shoot!" This execution definitely gets at least a 6, but the difficulty was low.

Now here's one we have never seen before, showing off leg strength by carrying Julie off the "board" with him. Difficulty 3.
And, Since she seems so happy, we will have to give the dive a 7.

Lookin' good! Boy will it be tough to beat this final pose! It is tough to judge, as he has not yet entered the water, but lets give him a 10 for style!

Diving competition: last up, Calvin

Are you kidding me?! What a perfect hand stand to start the dive!!!
Beautiful. It looks like calvin may be able to take Robe on in a high jumping competition too with that arch ...

Nice entry. Notice Calvin did a full rotation off the "board" (which really isn't all that high!). Difficulty 2.3, execution, 9.

This Gainer is awesome. Difficulty 4 and execution 8. He just looks so happy hanging out in the air!

And another Gainer in a tuck position. nice height. I think someone dropped Calvin out of the sky on this one. Difficulty 3, execution, 9.

3 pretty awesome divers

So we went to the pool again, and this time Robe and Kristen and many of Kristen's family joined us. Guess who are brother and sister and who actually has diving experience ....

Julie B-day

Brooke put on a B-day bash for Brittany and Julie on Friday. Robe and Kristen came, Trish came down, and Tanner Parkinson ended up there as well (I think as a friend of a friend of Brittany's, I don't think he knew it was for me too)! Lots of Calvin's nursing friends also came, even though he was not there. We had a ton of fun! Here are some pics, courtesy of Brooke. We are stealing some pics from Robe and Kristen's blog too.
